Your Excellency, I wish to draw your attention to the issue which has flared up brouhaha in the commission, particularly, the unbridled corruption and allegations of financial malfeasance that has pervaded the commission and also the unhealthy rivalry between the chairman and the secretary of the commission, Mr. Biyi Poroye and Princes Abike Ilawole which I believe is the major clog in the wheel hampering the optimal performance of the commission under your administration, which has the potential to dent your image before the good and industrious people of the mandate areas who have been eagerly anticipating the optimal performances of the commission ever since your emergence as the first Governor from Ilaje extraction who is sensitive to the plights of your people and can bring closure to the social injustice melted on them and provide healing balms to the injuries sustained as a results of severe environmental devastation and degredation, ecological damage and oil pollution which has threatened the health and livelihoods our people .
Mr. Governor, this current administration spearheaded by your excellency is long anticipated by the good people of the mandate areas particularly, Ilaje Local Government where you hail from. It therefore, calls for sober reflection and collective resolve to assert our rights in the scheme of things as a united bloc not as isolated individuals. Your Excellency, it is important to note that balancing governance is not just a necessity, but also a priority because whatever that happens under watch irrespective of your acquiescence will be attributed to you. Therefore, the needs to overhaul the current board of OSOPADEC becomes imperative and very paramount.
Your Excellency, it is important to note that when competition is conducted in a way that hightened rivalry and personal aggrandizement, it erodes public trust and destroy the very essence and foundation of the state. On behalf of the good people of Ilaje and Ese-Odo Local Government Areas of Ondo State. We are calling for immediate and comprehensive remediation of OSOPADEC to focus on its responsibility, delivery of mandates and ensure optimal performances. Mr. Governor, you must never allow personal aspirations, fleeting political gains or prioritize individual desires over enduring interest and the collective well-being of our people. it is therefore, my admonition to dissolve the current OSOPADEC board to ensure effective public service delivery sooner than anticipated.
Your Excellency sir, if nothing is done to remedy the current situation in the commission under your administration as a Governor from Ilaje extraction, it doesn’t only portend dangers to the collective welfare of your people, it is also creates or set a dangerous precedent that could embolden subsequent administration supervise by someone who is not from the mandate areas to continue with the state sanctioned oppression of our people and violations of their social rights and justice.
