Princess Abike Bayo Ilawole, a foremost administrator and immediate past Acting Chairperson of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), today led a vibrant walk marking the one-year anniversary of the Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa-led administration. Organized alongside the Asiwaju Media Campaign team, the event traversed key mandate area communities, drawing thousands in solidarity to celebrate tangible gains in infrastructure, economic revival, and community upliftment.
Addressing the press amid enthusiastic cheers, Princess Ilawole hailed Governor Aiyedatiwa’s visionary leadership, spotlighting his prioritization of oil-producing mandate areas through Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) like OSOPADEC. She highlighted her pivotal role in championing initiatives, including the recovery of two critical oil fields Molecular Oil Field and another strategic asset which boosted the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) by over 30%, unlocking sustained funding for development. This progress encompasses completion of over 50 kilometers of asphalt roads linking rural farms to markets via OSOPADEC and the Ministry of Works; construction and equipping of three modern primary healthcare centers alongside renovation of five riverine schools through the Ministries of Health and Education empowerment of over 2,000 youths via skills acquisition programs in agro-processing, fisheries, and micro-credit schemes as well as erosion control in flood-prone zones and solar-powered security lights enhancing safety in oil communities.
“These are not promises but results turning challenges into opportunities for peace, prosperity, and pride in Ondo State,” Princess Ilawole declared, urging residents to back the Asiwaju Media Campaign and Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The walk concluded with solidarity songs and pledges, reaffirming grassroots trust in the administration’s momentum.
She declared her total support for the Aiyedatiwa led Government and she use the opportunity to rally support from her people to support their Son and Shun politics of hatred that divide the community.
