This unfortunate incident is not only condemnable but also a direct assault on the values of democracy, party unity, and responsible political engagement that our party stands for. Violence, intimidation, and acts of aggression have no place in our political process. Politics must remain a contest of ideas, vision, and service—not a battlefield of hostility.
As a loyal and committed member of the APC, I reaffirm my unwavering support for the leadership of our party at all levels. Our State Party Chairman has continued to provide guidance and direction for the growth and consolidation of the party, and any attempt to destabilize that leadership structure is unacceptable.
I call on all party faithful, supporters, and stakeholders across Ilaje LGA and beyond to remain calm, law-abiding, and focused on strengthening the internal democracy of our party. Differences in opinions or political interests must always be addressed through dialogue and established party mechanisms.
Furthermore, I urge the appropriate security agencies to thoroughly investigate this incident and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. No individual or group should be allowed to undermine the peace and stability of our political environment.
The APC remains a party built on discipline, unity, and progressive ideals. As we continue to work toward building a stronger Ilaje and a more prosperous future for our people, let us uphold the principles of respect, tolerance, and peaceful engagement.
