AKURE, Nigeria—Comrade Busayo Julius Ebiniyi has emerged as the new Chairman of the Niger Delta Youth Movement (NDYM), Ondo State Chapter, following a successful election held recently in Akure, the state capital.
The keenly contested election was conducted strictly in line with the constitution and electoral guidelines of the Niger Delta Youth Movement, ensuring a transparent and credible process for all aspirants and delegates.
Comr. Ebiniyi, whose emergence has been widely celebrated by youth stakeholders across the riverine areas of the state, is expected to pilot the affairs of the movement for the next executive term. His victory signifies a renewed mandate for youth engagement and advocacy concerning the development of the Niger Delta region in Ondo State.
Speaking shortly after being declared the winner, Comr. Ebiniyi thanked the delegates for their overwhelming support and trust. He pledged to operate an all-inclusive administration, focusing on mobilizing the youth towards constructive dialogue, peace-building, and creating opportunities that align with the core mandate of the NDYM.
The successful conduct of the election in the state capital marks a significant step in strengthening the organizational structure of the NDYM in Ondo State, one of the nine states that constitute the Niger Delta region. The new executive is tasked with championing issues that affect the welfare, education, and economic empowerment of young people in the coastal communities of the state.
