Owo NULGE Protests Council Chairman’s Suspension, Demands Immediate Reinstatement
The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Owo, Ondo State, has taken to the streets to protest the suspension of the Owo Local Government Chairman, Hon. Tope Omolayo. The union described the suspension as “illegal” and demanded immediate reinstatement.
According to sources, the suspension was met with widespread criticism, with many questioning the legitimacy of the process. NULGE’s action follows a similar incident in another local government area where workers protested against the suspension of their chairman, alleging political interference.
