
The congress, which saw the emergence of a new executive committee via a unanimous consensus and voice vote, was attended by key stakeholders including Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. In a statement released shortly after the inauguration, Comr. Ekudehinwa lauded the choice of Hon. Babatunde Kolawole as the new State Chairman, Mr. Alex Kalejaye as the State Secretary, and Princess Iji as the State Woman Leader.
Ekudehinwa emphasized that the emergence of Hon. Babatunde Kolawole—a former member of the House of Representatives and recent Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters—brings an invaluable level of legislative experience and political maturity to the party’s leadership. He noted that this national exposure is a strategic asset for the Ondo APC as it moves into a new phase of political engagement.
The aspirant also extended special praise to Mr. Alex Kalejaye, the party’s former Publicity Secretary, for his elevation to the position of State Secretary, and to Princess Iji on her emergence as the State Woman Leader. Ekudehinwa described the new executive team as a “formidable blend of administrative brilliance and grassroots mobilization,” stressing that their leadership ensures the voices of all party members, especially women and the youth, will be effectively represented.
