Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has called on the youth of the Middle Belt area of Nigeria to emulate the footsteps of Igbo and Yoruba people and produce a young leader who will resist fulani herdsmen taking over their lands.
The call was made, following speculations that fulani herdsmen are suspected to be working to forcefully take over lands in the middle belt. This made Kanu call on the youth in that region to gird their loins and stand against it.
He said, a young leader capable of working with other regions in resisting Fulani people that are suspected to be working to forcefully take over lands in middle belts should rise up.
The call was made to encourage middle belt people resist fulani from taking over their lands. Yoruba people and Igbo have shown their resistance, do not allow yourselves to be left behind in this struggle, said Kanu.
Kanu added that, it is time to end the devilish plot of fulani people, taking over people’s land against their wish. It is time to work together and bring an end to the terrorism of fulani herdsmen in Nigeria.
Kanu strongly called on the youths of middle belt to stand up and save their region from fulani as done by people of other regions. He assured the youth of middle belt that, they are not alone in this battle. It is a collective battle aimed at bringing an end to the terrorism of fulani in their regions.
