The Youths from the Alimosho axis of Lagos state have risen up in demand for a new era of leadership in the area in order to bring about rapid economic growth, which they said has eluded the grassroots people for several decades.
The youths who recently stayed some peaceful protests to some notable political leaders in the area are of the view that the time has come when a new dimension government must be instituted to ensure balance in the system.
According to the youths who complained that there is a huge deficit in the infrastructural provisions in the entire Alimosho local government area, due to years of neglect and mist governance, the time has come when a new energy, ideology and spirit would be injected into the hardship Sphere of Lagos state and indeed Nigeria to right wrongs of many years.
The Alimosho youths, through their protest leaders, affirmed that certain grassroots icons such as the prince of Isheri olofin, Idris Balogun, who has philanthropically impacted the lives of the youths and countless downtrodden people, should be supported and motivated to rise to leadership domains of the area and beyond, so that he could replicate the feats across board.
Describing prince Balogun , who is also popularly known as Oluomo, as a man of the people, an investor and empowerment guru, the youth leaders stressed that the major reason the Alimosho youths want prince Idris balogun to ascend to the position of a representative at the national assembly, is because he is indigenous, reliable, tested and trusted, when it comes to helping the people with his personal resources.
When Apex Reporters contacted prince Balogun to know his view about the collective endorsement, he said that every good leader should be ready to emerge as a servant, stressing that if there is a call for him to join forces with the youth to build a better Nigeria, he would just be too ready to answer the call without fear or favor.
Balogun proceeded to state that if the old politicians who are in the leadership vanguard have failed, they should pave the way for the younger people to take up leadership under a restructured federation, pointing that these old brigade have since turned the sweat of the people to personal gains.
When asked of his relationship with another youth leader in the area, Engr Akeem Ariori Abiodun, Prince Balogun said that he is another philanthropist who has a serious desire to build the youths, stressing that their closeness makes him a brother from another mother. In the same vein, engr ariori who equally spoke to Apex Reporters magazine correspondent buttressed the need for the youths to support, prince Idris, who he referred to a charitable man of vision who love to see others happy,infact he is the mobilizer of the youth. Engr ariori urged the youth to go ahead to merge their energy together in support of anyone they dream fit for the job in Alimosho, Lagos and beyond.
When asked if he is entertaining any fear of being Attacked alongside, prince Balogun by powerful politicians, Ariori pointed that in a state like this, anyone could be attacked, the reason he said that it won’t be a surprise if such attacks happen, they might even start with there properties, families.
Concluding, Prince Idris Balogun enjoyed the youths to be united and to maintain an unbreakable bond in this quest for national rebirth, so that no avaricious leader can penetrate them and inject the divide and rule mechanism which has helped them to torment the citizens administration after administration, saying that as far as speaking the truth is concerned, he will never relent or fear anybody or group.
