Your Excellency, many Nigerians have spoken to you through different means, but I have chosen to reach you through this dimension, and I hope that revealing the things that have occupied my mind for a long time at will help you take some actions, different from what you have been doing.
Permit me to therefore let you know that I am quite surprise, just many others who fervently pushed for your emergence, at the turn of events in this country. This
amazement stemmed from the paradox that now plays out in the polity in juxtaposition with the high expectation I had prior to your election or while you emerged.
Those days ,your photographs alone rekindled hope in me that pain, anguish ,hopelessness and Frustration will be no more if you become president.
sequel, I preach, sermonized ,quarreled, argued and fought with anyone who had contrary views.
Those days your Excellency ,it felt like a savior was on the way – and your involvement in the entire APC configuration made things alluringly reassuring ,owing to the fact that our hearts hitherto bled from bad governance, hardship etc.
Incidentally or should I say fortunately, you became president on popular demand -and everyone who cherished your manifesto for peace, progress, unity and harmonious coexistence, leapt for joy in anticipation of the -end -of -misery and mystery in governance which were the lots of Nigerians under successive administrations since 1999 (let me not travel too far).
Without subterfuge and equivocations, and without any form of delay, I need your Excellency to know that Nigerian is not presently what you told us it will be few months into your leadership, even though you are about 6 years deep into the presidency of the most populous and naturally endowed black nation.
Today, despite your initial promises, hunger pervades, terror reigns, criminality heighten – and things have gone down -side -up.
These are contrary to your early assurances that petroleum prices will go down refineries will work, jobs will be created etc. Your Excellency ,when you took oath of office, you even said you belong to all and particularly to no one.
What plays out today is not akin to your lifting promises. The suffering pangs and pounds the poor, while the rich, especially those in government are just buoyant and happy. It is ridiculously astonishing that you now rule over a land where there is so much wealth, yet too much poverty, where there is overflowing Water, with none to drink where every is feigns happiness in the pool of sadness and agony. These things played out while the ENDSARS protests recently ensued and lasted.
Your Excellency, the outcome of the protest vis-a-vis the demands obviously on your table reflect the true state of the nation.
And truth be told, Nigerians do not need propagandists like Lai Muhammad who spin fine Yarns in the midst of the holocaust ravaging the people.
Nigerians need your fundamentally ,in a form of town -hall -meeting to shed light on what is odd.
This must happen quick, so that the people will stop living in mystery. And with sincerity underlying and underpinning, Nigerians will see the direction of their leadership clearly.
THANK YOU YOUR EXCELLENCY
