This saying speaks volumes of the person of Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Yetunde Longe, the current officer in – charge of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department – SCIID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos State a police platform from where she has propagated and dispensed qualitative leadership, such that has left so much to the envy of her contemporaries.
DCP Longe since assumption of office has brought tremendous change and development through instilling discipline and traditions that pursue to establish global best practices at this all important department saddled with unusual crime detection and prevention tasks in the interest of security.
Super woman, senior police officer; DCP Longe has zero tolerance for things untoward; therefore, she has cleaned up the Panti operational sphere, injected discipline beyond expectations, enforced proper dress culture, reduced corrupt practices, ensured training and general capacity building, even as she made sure that an additional structure was added to the existing buildings for the comfort of personnel, in order to achieve productivity.
No one can therefore oppose the fact that the words, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader” were aptly designed to describe DCP Longe; the super cop.
This is why this officer of repute has found a clear space in the annals of great achievers in the safety and security sectors of Nigeria.
Her passion for crime bursting is unparalleled, a quality which has been the driving factor for her attainments in the police force since she enlisted into the force as cadet in 1990. Since that beautiful inception, she has served in different capacities at different police platforms across the nation.

It is important to avert that DCP Longe showed dexterity at the FORCIB, Abuja State CIB, Lagos (as 2ic); Commandant PTSF, DCP, SCID, Bauchi, 2ic Area F, Area Commander, Area F etc.
A married happy mother and an outstanding career officer, whose journey to the force was inspired by the police practice in far away United States of America; she did an internship at the New York Police Defence Academy, United States of America which drew her interest to serve her country through the Nigeria Police Force.
A citizen of Lagos State, she attended Lagos Anglican Girl’s School, Broad Street, Lagos; as well as Lagos Anglican Girl’s Grammar School, Surulere, Lagos. Her professional and academic experiences span several organizations and institutions of diverse higher studies, home and abroad.
Some of her career courses include Advance Detective Course, PSC, Jos (2006); Protection of Civilians, COESPO Italy (2012); Training for Police Women on Gender-Based Violence, UNFRA/LS (2015) etc.
There is however no gainsaying that DCP Yetunde Longe is a brain and a gift to this generation still burning with a desire to serve and better her best.
